You probably haven't been hearing about this on the news but did you know that the US now has four strike groups operating in the Persian Gulf?  The Enterprise and the Boxer have just recently entered the region in the last week or so.  They are scheduled for a joint excercise with Kuwait, Bahrain, the UK and France on October 31st.  You can expect that this excercise will either be scrapped all together or have a piece added at the end that will involve a military strike on Iran. 

With this administration, all things are political.  There is little doubt that this is seen by them as a fortuitous confluence of events.  They will launch a strike they deem necessary at a time that may help them hold their grip on political power in the US.  It is critically important to them that they maintain that power because there's a lot of skeletons in their closet that will be dug up if the Democrats come into power.
