I decied to tune into CSPAN today to see what was bein said in the debate about Alito. What I find interesting is that all of the Democrats I've heard so far have gotten up there and spoken to specific evidence in Alito's record that back their positions on him. When the Republicans stand up they whine about the filibuster and site no evidence to back their opinions that he'll make a good judge.
Could it be, perhaps, that the Republican know that if they really look at this guy's history, it doesn't bode well for them? That while Democrats have numerous specific examples of ludicrous rulings by Alito, the Republicans can show little evidence of the judicial restraint they claim to value.
Well, at 4:30 EST, I guess we'll see what happens.
